Once the primer dries, you can begin to paint the pool using topcoat epoxy. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and paint from the bottom to the top. Allow the topcoat completely dry before applying the next layer. You can sand the pool between coats to ensure that the next layer adheres correctly. Most pools require three-to four coats. This process can take anywhere from a few hours to several days depending on the temperature.

Paint: Although it's not a long-term solution to your problem, paint can be an affordable option. This Band-Aid will allow you to buy some time so that you have some money in the future for a pool renovation.
